Who are the top five right wingers?
Having made our predictions for the best crosses in EA Sports NHL 22, today we turn our attention to the right wing position.
Every year new reviews for these sports video games are released and you never know what you’re really going to get. Madden 22’s ratings were surprising to say the least. You can get a general idea of who might be at the top of the NHL 22 rankings, but sometimes the devs can hit a punch that leaves you a little shocked.
After all, if player ratings weren’t that important, there wouldn’t be days dedicated to their release and everyone would be talking about it. Here is who I believe will be on top of the totem pole for the right wing post in NHL 22.
1. Nikita Kucherov
Nikita Kucherov was the highest rated right winger in NHL 21 with a 92 overall. This could be due to the fact that the Tampa Bay Lightning were the 2020 Stanley Cup champion. Combined with the sheer talent of Nikita Kucherov, the decision to make him the highest rated player in this position seems like a no-brainer and I see NHL 22 not being different at all.
Lightning struck twice. Tampa Bay Lighting won the 2021 Stanley Cup for the second consecutive season and Nikita Kucherov was instrumental in achieving that goal.
Although he didn’t play a single regular season game in the 2020-21 season, he led Tampa Bay Lighting to the Stanley Cup with 32 points (8 goals, 24 assists) in 23 playoff games. Kucherov was obviously not the only reason they were able to repeat as Stanley Cup champions, but he was instrumental in their success in the playoffs.
It was no coincidence that once he joined the team for the Stanley Cup playoffs, they gave their game a boost. to see him in the previous post-season deserves only one thing and that is to take his place at the top of the right wing totem pole for NHL 22. It is possible that his overall may even increase from last year to reach a 93.
