Where to watch the Brewers playoff games near Milwaukee

It’s the season for Milwaukee Brewers playoff baseball.

The Brewers take on the Atlanta Braves in the National League Division Series, starting Friday at American Family Field. The series will be in a best-of-five format.

Friday’s game is scheduled for 3:37 p.m. CDT. Saturday’s game is set for 4:07 p.m.

Here are some places in the Milwaukee area where you can catch the games.

MECCA sports bar and grill

1134 Vel R. Phillips Ave., Milwaukee

Fans can watch the games on a 42-foot-wide ultra-high definition screen at the MECCA Sports Bar and Grill in the Deer District.

MECCA is holding surveillance evenings on October 8, 9 and 11 (and on October 12 and 14, if necessary), according to a press release.

The space has two levels with a bar on each. For all playoff games there will be specialty alcoholic drinks and giant Bavarian pretzels. Customers can get a souvenir mug with the purchase of a 22-ounce draft beer, according to the press release.

To reserve, dial 414-908-0401. Deposits are required for reservations.

The beer garden

1133 N. Old World 3rd St., Milwaukee

Much like The MECCA, The Beer Garden is having watch nights on October 8, 9 and 11 (and on October 12 and 14, if necessary), according to a press release.

The space has a 40-foot screen and a faucet room with 20 lines of draft beer. Hot specialty alcoholic beverages will also be available for all playoff games, the press release said.

For food, Lumpia City and Heavens Table BBQ food trucks will be on site.

The Beer Garden will be reserved for standing people.

Brookfield corners

The Corners of Brookfield will also host Brewers Watching Nights. All games will be broadcast live on a 12ft by 20ft screen located in the Marketplace.

Food and drinks can be purchased by scanning QR codes at the tables on site or at the Cantina de BelAir in the square.

And there’s a photo op: A custom Brewers wall with real baseballs screwed into the backdrop, created by Cedar & Spice, is set by Wahlburgers.

Broken Bat Brewing Company

135 E. Pittsburgh Ave., Milwaukee

Of course, the Milwaukee craft brewery dedicated to the American hobby will be showing all of the Brewers’ playoff games.

“We’re very excited about this,” said Tim Pauly, co-owner of Broken Bat Brewing Company. “That’s what we live for all year – to go to October baseball.”

The brewing company has 11 screens on which customers can watch the matches.

To celebrate the first game in the series, Broken Bat is releasing four big Friday. They will be available on tap and in cans starting at noon (They will also be available to order online for pickup.)

Flourchild Pizza will also be on site with pizza samples from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The yard at Bayshore

5689 N. Bayshore Drive, Milwaukee

The Bayshore shipyard has organized “Play Days!” With its 90-foot screen for fans to come together to cheer on Wisconsin sports teams.

The Tap @ The Yard, an outdoor garden experience, features 36 craft beers from local and regional brewers, wines and hard seltts, according to Bayshore website.

For Game 1 of the series, The Tap will be giving away free Jell-O Shots to Brewers, $ 3 Select Craft Projects, $ 10 Select Pitcher Specials, Truly and Twisted Tea Buckets at five for $ 15 and a swimsuit gift, depending on his Facebook event page.

If fans are whipping up their appetites, several food companies are within walking distance, including California Pizza Kitchen, Trader Joe’s, Cheesecake Factory, and Kilwins.

Participants are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Dogs and take-out alcohol are prohibited, the website said.
