When does the USFL season start in 2022? Dates, times, TV schedule for every USFL game

It’s time to jump into the time machine: the USFL is back and the schedule begins soon.

The USFL went the way of other infamous ’80s things – metal hair bands, leg warmers, VCRs – but unlike most extinct things from the Greed Decade, the long-gone famous football league is making its mark. back this year.

For those eager for new football, the new venture features a slew of teams from the league’s original iteration, and for its return season, every game will be played in Birmingham, Alabama this year.

Here’s what you need to know about the schedule and broadcast information for the upcoming USFL season:

2022 USFL Schedule

The USFL 2022 season opener is coming your way Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

While the rest of the schedule has yet to be revealed, the season runs between mid-April and mid-June, with matches airing on Saturdays and Sundays. In all, there will be 43 games on the schedule: 40 regular season games, two divisional championship games and the USFL championship game.

Some specials will also air on Mondays and Fridays.

2022 USFL playoff schedule

After the regular season ends in mid-June, three playoff games will take place: two divisional championship games and the USFL championship game.

The playoffs will pit the top two teams in each division against each other, with the winners advancing to the championship game.

How to watch USFL games

The league’s owner and operator, Fox, is the league’s official broadcast partner. The games will be spread across Fox, FS1, NBC and USA Network.

Of the 40 games, 20 will be broadcast live (Fox and NBC), 19 will be broadcast by cable (FS1, USA) and four will be broadcast via Peacock.

The games will also be streamed through Peacock, NBC’s exclusive streaming service.
