FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The ‘Dons (10-24, 7-8 Horizon) will play four home games this weekend. Two on Friday against Northern Kentucky and two on Sunday against Oakland.

Nordic Scouting: Northern Kentucky fell to Butler on Tuesday 6-5 in a non-league game. The ‘Dons won two of three against the Norse last week. The Norse are led by Brennan Gick’s .310 batting average. He owns a team record of eight homers. As a team, the Norse have 144 steps on the season.

Two in a row: Jacob Myer was named Horizon League pitcher of the week last week after allowing no runs in 8.2 innings. He got the win over Michigan and Milwaukee. This week Ben Higgin is the Horizon League’s Drummer of the Week. He went 9 of 13 (.692 batting average) with .750 on-base percentage, 1.154 hitting percentage and 1.904 OPS. He had two home runs, six RBIs and three runs scored.

In the last 10 games: Brendan Reid (1.93), Jacob Myer (2.93) and Justin Miller (3.86) each have an ERA below four with four appearances in that span.
