Leaked PS Plus lineup of games for May 2022 revealed
PlayStation Plus Premium will require 2 hour play trials from developers
Sony has yet to announce next month’s lineup of free PlayStation plus games, but a new report from French gaming site Dealsab has leaked it. Although not officially confirmed, Dealsab has been leaking PS Plus lineups correctly for months now, so there’s a good chance this one is legit. And if so, PS Plus members are in for a treat.
May’s headlining lineup of free games for PS Plus members is supposed to be FIFA 22. I’m pretty sure we’re all familiar with this series by now. FIFA 22 is the latest installment, released in October 2021. The PS5 and PS4 versions of FIFA 22 will apparently be free.
Gearbox’s Tribes of Midgard is also rumored to be free. Developed by Norsefell Games, Tribes of Midgard is an action and survival role-playing game played in a top-down isometric view. Play solo or co-op with a tribe of up to 10 other players, the goal is to protect the Seed of Yggdrasil from dangerous enemies looking to destroy it. During the day, you must go out to find resources to craft new weapons, armor, and village defenses. At night, it’s time to defend your colony against attackers. Again, the PS5 and PS4 versions of Tribes of Midgard are supposed to be free.
The third and final leaked game for May is Curse of the Dead Gods, a roguelike dungeon crawler where you explore procedurally generated dungeons in search of money, power, and eternal life.
Again, the PS Plus May lineup hasn’t been confirmed, but it would be a pretty impressive bundle of games to get for free. FIFA 22 is a high-level sports game, while Tribes of Midgard and Curse of the Dead Gods are both entertaining in their own right.
May is most likely the last month before the revamped PlayStation Plus service launches in June. The new version of PS Plus will offer three subscription levels; Essential, Extra and Premium. All three tiers will, however, offer free monthly games.
